Although there is a video option for the classroom, the image is small, so as not to blackout the slide presentation.
Additionally, in many parts of Australia the signal is variable and using the video may slow the streaming. We use this learning management system so we may record and archive the sessions for those who could not attend the live sessions.
A significant component of education stems from discussions with colleagues on particular topic.
To engage in even a simple question and answer activity, on Blackboard, creates significant interference for all participants if any person is using only their computer microphone.
As a courtesy to all our facilitators, we do expect all participants to respond verbally when questions are asked. It is difficult as a facilitator to know if all the participants have gone to sleep; left the ‘computer’, or are listening intently!
So the short answer is, as a courtesy to facilitators we ask that you please use a headset with a microphone, when using the live classroom.
When you listen/watch the sessions on Moodle, you have accessed the recordings of the live sessions. There is no interaction. You send your questions in by email and the facilitator will respond.
Yes, as long as you are still within the two (2) week timeframe for accessing the session. After the two (2) week, you will need to call us between 1000 – 1500 hours, and request to have the program re-opened
IWe aim to have certificates emailed within 48 hours of completion of a program. Exceptions, include when the Terms and Conditions and or Feedback/Reflection forms are not completed
