Session 5 – Spiritual and cultural issues
At the completions of the session the nurse should be able to discuss and apply ‘impeccable assessment’ for spiritual and cultural factors; examine their own attitudes to spiritual and cultural issues; explore effective strategies and interventions in a context of holistic care.
NOTE:
Facilities (and groups of nurses working from the same facility) receive a discount of 25% on registrations of 5 or more, 40% discount on registrations of 15 or more, 50% discount on 15 or more and 60% on 20 or more!

- definitions – spirituality, religion and cultural care; overlaps and differences
- examine your attitudes to spiritual, religious and cultural issues
- identifying and overcoming barriers; learning from the literature
- exploring effective assessment, strategies and interventions in a context of holistic care through two (2) case studies
